Notice of Decision of the Vacancy Procedure Committee of the Presbytery of Sutherland
- Notice is hereby given that the Vacancy Procedure Committee of the Presbytery of Sutherland proposes to adopt the temporary protocol of 16th July 2020 to permit the preaching of Mrs. Lorna Tunstall as sole nominee in the vacancy. This action will proceed unless at least 4 persons who are either communicant members of the congregations of Clyne l/w Kildonan & Loth Helmsdale or full members of the presbytery, together or separately submit to the Presbytery Clerk a request for this proposal to be considered at the next meeting of Presbytery. Any such request must set out the relevant reasons.
You should submit any such request in writing to Rev Ian W. McCree Presbytery Clerk at Tigh Ardachu, Mosshill Brora KW9 6NG within 7 days after this intimation.
If 4 valid requests are received then the powers to adopt will be suspended and the approval of Presbytery will be required.
