Reverend Lorna Tunstall, was ordained and inducted into the linked parish of Clyne linked with Kildonan and Loth, Helmsdale on Friday 25th September 2020. Lorna completed her training at the School of Divinity at New College which is part of Edinburgh University in 2019 and graduated that summer with a Master of Divinity degree. Lorna and husband Mark have moved to Brora from Inchture in the Carse of Gowrie where they had lived for over 15 years. Prior to living in Scotland they lived in North London and then Hertfordshire in Welwyn Garden City. Lorna’s previous career was as a project manager in a global telecoms company, as the new minister she is keen to ensure good communication between the church and the community.

Session Clerk: Ina MacPherson

Ina MacPherson is well known in Helmsdale as she was born and bred in the village and was baptised in Bunillidh Church, as was her Father before her. Ina claims her greatest achievement to be her three children, her 5 grandchildren and not forgetting her 8 grand-dogs! Ina’s background in the catering industry has set her in good stead for the hospitality that Bunillidh Church is well known for.

Ina views her role as Session Clerk as a privilege to serve our Lord and would love to see Bunillidh Church march ahead into the future, as an Eco congregation and a centre of outreach to our Parish showing an all inclusive Ministry, in the village that she loves.

Janys Wetton

Janys Wetton is a retired primary school teacher and has lived in Helmsdale for almost 8 years. She moved, with husband Barry, from Cheshire to get away from pollution, traffic and noise to this lovely part of the world where the air is clear and the scenery is awesome.  Janys is involved with property, safeguarding, the knitting group, website content and general support for Bunillidh church where needed. Her hobbies are mostly indoor, watercolour painting, drawing and handicrafts, but she also likes to potter about in the polytunnel and takes great delight in growing things from seed.
